Journey Groups
Journey is about building a community, not just a church. We are committed to giving everyone, everywhere, every reason to begin their personal journey and follow Christ. The key to successfully building a community is doing it together, we believe that takes place in our small groups.

Adult Journey Groups

Spring 2012 Semester
February 5th - April 29th

During Sunday morning worship experiences, it is so easy to be "a part of the crowd." We can even get lost in the crowd and never really connect with those around us. A Journey small group is the answer to that problem. We want you to connect and thrive and the best way to do that is our small groups.

Centralized Childcare

Each Sunday evening we have centralized childcare so that parents can attend our Sunday evening groups knowing their children are in a safe environment. Parents can drop their children off beginning at 5:30pm at Journey Church. Children will need to be picked up by 8:00pm after our groups have concluded. We ask that parents give $1 per child, per week. CLICK HERE for directions to Journey Church.

A great video series by Ray Vanderlaan on the Life, Ministry, Death, and of course, the Resurrection of The Messiah. We will learn how God had prepared the Jewish culture to receive Jesus' message and how we need to present the gospel to our world. The Zealots of Jesus' time longed for a political messiah, but Jesus came as a rabbi to create a kingdom not of this world. We meet on Sunday evenings and sometimes rotate between homes. We love to break bread together, so bring a dish or your favorite dessert and join us as we journey together.

Will you be ready when your child comes back from their freshman year of college and tells you they're doubting their faith? Are you ready to answer tough questions about your faith like "Is the Bible trustworthy? Or is just a bunch of myths?" Maybe you're hesitant to share your faith because they're are too many questions people may ask you that you feel unprepared to answer. Questions about the Trinity, the Incarnation, or the Bible. Come join us each week as we embark on an incredible journey of faith and knowledge about our Christian beliefs.

Our student group meets every Sunday night from 6:00-7:30pm at Journey. If you are 6th-12th grade come and join us. This is a time for students to be in their own environment and be surrounded by their peers with the common goal of getting to know their God in a real and personal way. We will also be putting together a student worship team and drama team, so if you are a student and are interested, come and hang out with us Sunday evenings.

Knowing God By Name: A Personal Encounter is a Scripturally rich Bible study that reveals fascinating insights about 35 names of God, including Hebrew meanings, historical significance, and practical applications for today. Like the psalmist who exclaimed, "Who is like You, O Lord?" (71:19), prepare to be awestruck by His majesty, power, character, and absolute deity. As you explore the meaning of each name, unpacking the richness of His character and splendor, you will be drawn into an intimate worship experience like no other.

This men's group offers a great time of growing in God's word and developing friendships with other men.  This group is called our Band of Brothers group. It's all about growing toward God by digging into the scriptures and developing ourselves as men. We want to sharpen one another as iron sharpens iron. Come as you and lean on other men as we make this journey together.

This group offers you the convenience of accessing teaching and interaction with our actual group that meets on Sunday evenings at 6pm. Internet and a Facebook login is required. Let Pastor Michael know you want to join this private group on Facebook in order to access the teaching videos and notes. Video recording will be done each week of the actual class on Sunday evenings, and then posted for those who cannot be a part of the group, but wish to hear the material. These can be accessed at any time and at your leisure. This is not a substitute for the actual class, but for those who are unable to attend the group for a practical reason.
